Smart Processes Saving Client's Money


What I love about my job is the diverse range of clients I get to deal with. As a human resources professional I am frequently contacted when something has gone wrong, so you can imagine my excitement when two months ago one of our forward thinking clients contacted me to help them develop a key initiative for their business – a smart process for selecting and recruiting "Recognised Seasonal Employers" (RSE ) employees.

Last week it just so happened I ended up sitting next to one of the Directors, watching our children taking swimming lessons, and while I make it a general rule of thumb not to talk ‘business’ when out socially, I just couldn't resist the urge to ask him how the selection initiative for his RSE employees had worked out…

His response couldn't have made me happier, the long and short of it was that he thought the initiative had saved them around $30,000 per annum by implementing the recruitment and selection tool we worked on. It has kept me smiling all week!
