The People Collective (TPC) is a full-service People Services business, in which the Intepeople and Brannigans brands sit under. We help you with every facet of the employment journey by providing the following services:
- Executive recruitment
- Executive leasing and temps
- Employee relations consulting
- Human resource consulting
- Investigations and conflict resolution
- Leadership, executive coaching, and team development
- Health and Safety services,

When information is collected:
To carry out the Services, we may need to collect personal information from you and from the following types of people:
- Potential and placed candidates for temp, contract or permanent roles.
- New and existing clients.
- Supplier contacts to support our services; and
- TPC employees, consultants, contractors, and temporary workers.
The type of information that is collected will depend on the nature of your dealings with TPC, and it can be collected in various ways, i.e. direct correspondence, enquiries, or registration via our website, through third parties, or from a publicly available source. Generally, TPC will collect personal information about you when:
- You engage with TPC to provide you with a Service.
- You apply for a role with or through Intepeople or Brannigans.
- You visit the Intepeople or Brannigans website.
What information do we collect?
The information that TPC will usually collect includes, but is not limited to:
- Name, and contact details (address, email address, phone number)
- Qualification information (education, training courses and internships)
- CV and employment history
- Financial information (including current and expected salaries)
- Background checks
- Compliance documentation, including identification and right to work in New Zealand
- Links to professional profiles in the public domain i.e. LinkedIn, X (Twitter).
- Responses to any surveys about our Services, for research and learning purposes.
- Details of visits to the website (including, but not limited to, IP address, location, traffic data and other communication data and resources that you access). We may use cookies which are small data files transferred onto computers or devices by websites for record-keeping purposes and to enhance functionality on the website.
Why are we collecting the information?
Personal information is collected so we can carry out our core business and ancillary activities. The legal basis for which we will be processing your data is:
- To perform a contract, or taking steps to enter into a contract – if you are already working with TPC, or about to engage with TPC, the processing of personal information will be for the purposes of fulfilling our current (or soon to be) contractual obligations.
- To comply with legal obligations – sometimes it is necessary to process data to comply with legal or regulatory obligations. Public authorities may request personal data from us, and we may be forced by law to provide the authorities with your data.
- For our legitimate interests – where processing of your personal data is necessary to ensure TPC can run its business and perform the Services. This will be done in a way that does not unduly affect your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms.
This means information might be collected for the purposes of:
- General correspondence – contacting you about information relating to Services you are already engaged with, opportunities, or further services that might be of interest to you, or your organisation.
- Marketing – contacting you with marketing materials, including services, job vacancies and upcoming events.
- For the introduction of any candidates and clients.
- Any test or assessment that you might be required to undergo.
- Undertaking checks to verify your identity, right to work status, background checks, or criminal history.
- To further develop, test and improve our website / systems / processes to better serve you.
- To test and compare the effectiveness of our Services, ie. comparing the success of our placements between different industries and geographies.
- Where necessary, to comply with legal obligations.

How your information will be used:
Any information supplied may be available to TPC’s staff (employees, consultants, or those otherwise engaged by TPC). Information may also be provided to selected third parties, including:
- To clients, for the purposes of recruitment and introduction of candidates to them.
- To candidates for the purposes of co-ordinating engagements and interviews.
- To clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to fulfil contractual obligations with them.
- Sub-contractors or suppliers, including IT suppliers, financial services providers, insurance brokers, credit reference agencies, event organisers or marketing specialists. Disclosure will be for relevant business needs, such as administrative and operational work in support of our relationship with you.
In any instance, the information will only be supplied to third parties to ensure the Purposes (as illustrated above).
We will also disclose your personal information to third parties where:
- We are involved in a merger, acquisition, or any other business transaction. In such instance we may need to disclose your data to the prospective seller or buyer or merged organisation, and their advisors.
- We are under a duty to disclose or share your data to comply with any legal obligation.
- We need to enforce or apply our terms of use in order to protect the rights, property, or safety of TPC and our clients – e.g. exchanging information with other organisations for the purposes of credit risk reduction and fraud protection.
Security of your information
TPC will take all reasonable steps to ensure that personal information is protected from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Access to personal information is restricted for legitimate business purposes only.
For recruitment purposes, TPC uses an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), which is a software used to manage applications efficiently and store candidate information for future use. It is housed in Australia in and uses highly secure hosting facilities to ensure availability, security, and performance.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to the Website, therefore any transmission remains at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to prevent unauthorised access.
Retention of your data
- TPC will only hold your personal information to ensure the smooth running of our Services. We will only retain personal data for as long as we legitimately need it, and it will not be kept longer than is necessary.
What are your rights?
- Access - you have the right to access and obtain the information we hold about you and receive details on how it is being processed.
- Correction – if information we hold about you is incorrect, you can request that it be updated or otherwise corrected.
- Restriction – in some circumstances, you may request that the processing of your personal data is restricted or suspended. However, in some circumstances such restriction may limit the Services we are able to provide you.
- Objection – where we are processing your data based on our legitimate interests (or those of a third party), or where data processing relates to direct marketing, you are entitled to object to us processing your data by referencing your situation.
- Deletion – where there is no good reason for us to retain your personal information, you may request that we delete it. You may also ask us to delete your information where you have exercised your right to object to processing (as above).
