Shona is a highly experienced Career Transition Consultant and CV writer for Intepeople.  She prepares individualised CVs that present each client’s skills and experiences in a way that gains the employer’s attention.  She emphasises building people’s confidence and uses a range of tools to give them a greater understanding of their strengths, skills and interests.  Interview coaching includes working with people to express those strengths and attributes to gain the jobs they are seeking.  Her CV’s and interview coaching achieve results.  She also provides professional career transition and redundancy support to staff across a range of organisations: exploring issues, solutions and directions with individuals and groups of workers experiencing redundancy and restructuring.

Before joining Intepeople (then Fanselow Bell) in 2002, Shona was a Senior Business Communication and Marketing Lecturer at Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT).  She was responsible for researching and developing Bachelor of Commerce stage one and two Business Communication courses as part of the NMIT Commerce Department degree accreditation.  During her time with NMIT, she also developed and presented a range of BIZ courses and led seminars for industry.

Shona’s listening and questioning strengths help clients to determine their career goals.  Her questioning, organising and writing skills produce CV’s that enable both clients and their prospective employers to appreciate attributes that will be valuable in the role the client is seeking.  In her interview coaching, she provides clear and insightful feedback that boosts clients’ confidence in their ability to perform well in job interviews.  She has an excellent understanding of the issues associated with redundancy and works sensitively with people to help them to take their next positive career steps.  Her background of facilitating learning within NMIT classes ensures Shona’s workshops meet the learning needs of all the participants.
